The Tarlton Theatre is celebrating 100 years since its construction in 1924. Our 501(c)3 nonprofit organization is committed to preserving and restoring our westside showplace. In celebration of the approaching 100-year anniversary, we're asking for your support of our historic preservation and restoration mission.

Each year, the Paddling Film Festival World Tour has showcased the very best paddling films from around the world. NEWP, Inc. (Northeast Wisconsin Paddlers) is excited to once again bring this prestigious film festival to Northeast Wisconsin. From whitewater action to sea kayaking, canoeing, rafting and paddle boarding, these short films will take you around the globe to explore great places, great challenges and people with great spirit.

Mingusfest celebrates the life and music of legendary bassist/composer/bandleader Charles Mingus (1922-1979). Born at Luna Cafe in 2001, Mingusfest boasts the same core group for over 20 years: Nick Utrie (guitar), Cully Swansen (bass), Steve Johnson (reeds), James LeFevre (percussion), and special guest Adam Gaines (trumpet).

Visit the historic Tarlton Theatre for a special fundraiser edition of our signature Art War, an immersive, interactive live painting competition featuring live music!
Watch multiple speed rounds of live, real-time painting by local painters! Audience members vote by ballot for one finalist per round to move on to the championship round to face off for the title of Art War champion. Finally, stay for a silent auction of the competition's paintings to become an art collector!
All proceeds from the silent auction artworks will benefit Urban Cultural Arts to assist in their recuperation following a devastating fire.
